Classical source: Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos (Claudius Ptolemy, 2nd century CE, c. 90–168), foundational to Western astrology and the tropical zodiac.
Calculation vs interpretation: Planetary longitudes and houses are computed precisely from an astronomical ephemeris given birth time and place — verifiable astronomy; the personality/forecast reading is traditional interpretation.
